Does every AI-generated image need the tag?
No. Amazon’s guidance focuses on images featuring photorealistic people generated entirely by AI. AI backgrounds, AI products, images with no people, and non-photorealistic people do not meet that specific condition.
Is contains-synthetic-performer a visible watermark?
No. It is an invisible keyword stored in the image’s XMP metadata. Amazon may use it to display a disclosure where applicable.
Where is the keyword stored?
It is stored as an item in the Dublin Core dc:subject RDF Bag inside the XMP packet.
Does the tool change image quality or dimensions?
No. It edits the JPEG APP1 or PNG iTXt metadata container without decoding and re-encoding the compressed image pixels.
Will existing XMP keywords be removed?
No. The tool appends the Amazon keyword. If existing XMP cannot be modified safely, that file stops with an error rather than replacing the packet.
Are files uploaded to a server?
