Technical image checks
Amazon lists JPG, BMP, and PNG in RGB color space. This tagger supports JPG and PNG. Technical warnings do not prevent metadata writing, but they should be resolved before content submission.
- RGB color space; CMYK is not supported.
- Individual files under two MB.
- Resolution of at least 72 DPI.
- No animated images such as GIF.
Image quality and alt text
Avoid blurry or low-quality images, visible watermarks, and small text that cannot be read on mobile. Alt text should describe the actual image for people using screen readers.
Alt text is not a place to insert unrelated search keywords. Descriptions that are inaccurate or unhelpful can result in rejection.
Unique A+ content
A+ images and copy should highlight product or brand information that is useful in the A+ experience instead of simply repeating the product image gallery. Use one brand logo and only icons that help navigation or comprehension.
Claims, awards, and environmental statements
Awards and endorsements should include the granting organization and date, and older awards may not be allowed. Certification, testing, approval, and environmental statements require appropriate substantiation.
Satisfaction guarantees, number-one claims, top-rated claims, best-selling claims, and unsupported health or disease claims can result in rejection.
